Treading water with all my might
Watching it rise above my sight.
How many ships’ll pass in the night
Til I take one into the light?
The expectation of heaven
The disappointment of hell
Instead of sharing my life with another to tell
I have been thinking over the last couple of days that I haven’t been giving this blog post page any love. I think i’m gonna keep this section really off the cuff, almost like Morning Pages described in the Artist’s Way. The truth is I want to do something different with my life. I’ve lived in the same studio apartment going on 11 years. I think I have what may be soon called a committed girlfriend relationship. I am thankful I had a church gig this afternoon. It’s probably been the busiest December I’ve had gig-wise since being on tour with Jeff Dunham in 2010. After I got back from the church gig, returning the car to my parents’ house, I had a great time eating with my cousin, my only real cousin, Simon, whose an impressive guy, a history teacher at Wellsley (sp?) in Boston. My parents (and Simon) dropped me off at the bus stop on their way to Christmas mass, and I caught the spanish jitney bus back to the GWB terminal. Walked home. In trying to break the habit of not turning on the computer and jerking off to porn the first thing I enter the apartment, I instead finally took the copy of Moby Dick, which I’ve never read, and started reading the first two pages and fell asleep in bed. I woke up after 15 minutes and decided to write this. This Edward Snowden documentary on HBO got me thinking how much I’ve exposed myself on media. Well here’s a bit more I guess. Merry Christmas! Love ya!
Again so psyched to have ground sounds music blog feature my Time Machine music video:
I’m also thankful to have had Effective Immediately help rebrand myself. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll every be known for anything besides the dancing trombonist, so I’ve grateful to have help getting this website, my music, and other projects aggressively out there. It’s never too late to try something new, right?
Recently I’ve been kicking my own butt healing a hamstring strain from a gig with Gloria Gaynor in Tijuana mexico a week and a half ago. IT still blows my mind how practicing Bikram Yoga always pragmatically helps me get back to being mobile again. I owe so much to the practice. Today’s day 6 of my third 30 day yoga challenge. Wish me luck. I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night tweeting my vid to random peeps til 330 am haha! Have a great day!
Hey guys! Here’s my new site. Wanted to revamp the look and be able to share some different sides of myself. Please feel free to look around. I’m gonna post about gigs, writing, and other creative ventures. I’m always open to start or continue dialogue about anything. Hope to see you or hear from you soon!
